We at BRAAV believe there is nothing we cannot do! I mean, we can't launch rockets or perform open heart surgery but that's primarily because we have never put the time and effort into learning how.
We never want to be in a position where we are standing around at the end of a project pointing fingers or assessing blame because we failed. Instead, it is our belief that we individually and collectively have the power to positively influence the outcome of any situation. We can always take action that will ultimately culminate into a win - from adjusting the critical path or resetting stakeholders' expectations - to simply rolling up our sleeves and delivering goods if necessary. Our goal is to be "high-fiving" everyone at the end of a project celebrating that we won and yes, also sometimes embracing the opportunity to grow or be better after reviewing "lessons learned," which is still a gain in our book!
We have found in our network of associates that our individual fields complement each other’s in surprising, and what has turned out to be inseparable, ways. This made us eager to cultivate our own company, one that would effectively intersect over 100 years' expertise with our respective interests. FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Angela Curtis, PMP
Angela Curtis is the Founder & President of BRAAV Electric Supply Company, a wholesale electrical distributor serving commercial construction projects.
Angela’s career began in banking, where she developed a strong foundation in credit, risk, and relationship management. That experience shaped how she sees business today—not just through numbers, but through people, trust, and long-term partnership.
In 2018, she founded BRAAV Electric Supply Company. The name, pronounced “brave,” reflects a personal commitment to move forward with courage in the face of uncertainty, challenges, and growth. Like many small business owners, Angela built her company from the ground up, navigating the complexities of access to capital and establishing relationships in a highly competitive industry.
Her journey is grounded in faith, and she often draws strength from Galatians 6:9: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” That message continues to guide her as she leads her business and supports others along the way.
That perspective now informs her work with AssistTN, where she leads efforts to connect small businesses across Tennessee with the technical assistance they need to become capital-ready and position themselves for sustainable growth. Through this work, she continues to advocate for practical, relationship-driven solutions that help small businesses not just participate, but truly succeed.
